Frobisher Says: Mega Fun Pack DLC

| Frobisher Says

Going back to Frobisher Says after nearly a year is quite the experience. You slowly but surely remember just how insane this game was the first time around - then the new content hits you, and somehow it manages to be just as absurd.

The Frobisher Says Mega Fun Pack adds 15 new mini-games to the WarioWare-style title, and they're quite the mixed bag, ranging from the completely deranged (in a good way) to the completely deranged (in a not so good way).

Either way, this update is a perfect opportunity to delve back into Frobisher and experience it in the best light possible.

Flan found

If you didn't play Frobisher Says the first time around, it goes a little something like this: very silly mini-games are thrown at you one after the other, and you have to work out how to beat each before moving on to the next.

The game is deliberately over-the-top, and for the most part it oozes charm.

The Mega Fun Pack carries on the good work of the original, and there are some great new mini-games to be found. In one you take Leonard for a walk using your PS Vita's camera. In another you walk on the touchscreen with your fingers, crushing tiny villagers with your fingertip feet.

Others work less well. The lazy frog mini-game, for example, in which you have to catch a fly with a frog's tongue, is just annoying. The exam paper mini-game, meanwhile, is rather boring - not at all in keeping with the game's wacky nature.

Although there are a few underwhelming choices, you still get some good content for your cash - especially given that it was free to play in the first place.

Say what

The update doesn't just offer new content - there are also trophies and better game support.

The trophies are few, but are still worth diving back into the game for. You can now also tell the game not to bring up certain mini-games, just in case you're on the bus and you don't want to look insane.

You can now upload your highscores manually, but - annoyingly - if you've deleted the game previously your old highscore will be gone.

And it's worth noting that you can get these features for free by downloading the base game, as they're available in the original as well as in this DLC.

But, given the cheap asking price, we'd suggest splashing out on the Mega Fun Pack if you like Frobisher Says. It's still a great showcase for the Vita, and good for some laughs when you have friends around.

Frobisher's Mega Fun Pack is a bit of a mixed bag, but still well worth the asking price if you're up for a bit more of the Frob
