Not long to wait until 'remagicalised' version of Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrim for Vita goes live on PSN

Product: Floating Cloud God Saves The Pilgrims in HD
Developer: Dakko Dakko
Format: PS Vita
Genre: Arcade, Shooter
Truth be told, we rather liked Dakko Dakko's Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims on PSP.

To prove it, we handed Dakko Dakko a Silver Award and labelled the game "an intelligent shooter with a beguiling art style".

So, you could imagine our joy when we discovered back in March that Dakko Dakko was working on an HD version of the game.

As we suspected back then, Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims HD should be available on the PS Vita this summer.

What we didn't know three months ago, though, was quite how Dakko Dakko planned to "remagicalise" the game for Vita.

First off, the South Wales developer has devised a new control system for Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims in HD. The studio is making full use of the PS Vita's second analogue stick, essentially turning the game into a twin-stick shooter.

Don't worry, though: if you'd rather play the game the old-fashioned way (i.e. press X to fire), Dakko Dakko has included the control scheme from the original version in this remake.

And in addition to upscaling the in-game art to take advantage of the Vita's larger display, Dakko Dakko has tweaked and refined the game, as well as added Trophy support.

Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims HD will go live on PSN later this summer. We'll let you know about its price as soon as we find it out.
