Fun Bits Interactive's highly accaimed platformer Escape Plan will receive 19 new levels in its first major update, which is due to arrive on April 10th.

Functioning as a prequel to the game's original plot, the free update - entitled Bakuki's Lair - will deliver extra puzzle rooms to the Gold Award-winning title, while fleshing out the game's storyline a little further.

The game's dev promises to tighten up the touchscreen controls via this forthcoming update, and to adjust the Star Ratings system in the first of a planned series of balance tweaks.

Finally, if you're a PlayStation Plus member, you can get your virtual hands on five new avatars free of charge from the PlayStation Store. Non-PlayStation Plus punters, meanwhile, will have to pay for them.

You can grab the downloadable Vita game Escape Plan from the PlayStation Store right now.
