English version of mech-based action-RPG Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo arrives on PS Vita

It's time to take back Tokyo in the best way possible: in a mech.

Yep, Arc System Works has released the English version of its PS Vita mech-based action RPG Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo.

In it, you're given a fleet of GEARs to take back Earth from RAGE, which is a group of robots that have proceeded to wipe out 80 percent of the world's population.

There are over 50 missions tied to assaulting and taking back Tokyo (screw the rest of the world, I guess?). But the best bit is how you customise your mech throughout.

You're able to collect weapons and armour to make yourself more deadly. This includes chainsaws, laser cannons, pile bunkers, and many more.

If you really want a test, then you can enter the Arena to fight against other GEAR pilots, clashing metal against metal.

Sound good? Cool. You can currently buy Damascus Gear in South and North America for $14.99.

Unfortunately, we have to wait a little longer for the European version. We'll let you know when it arrives.

In the meantime, check out the game's website for more information.
