Dark Japanese-style turn-based RPG Cross Reverie should be heading to PS Vita
Cross it off
Sinxsoft hopes to bring its dark Japanese-style RPG Cross Reverie to PS Vita.
The game was on Kickstarter recently but Sinxsoft took it down due to acquiring funding from a private investor.
What this has meant is that some of the features and ports that were previously up in the air can now go ahead. The studio confirmed this in a recent development update.
As such, Sinxsoft is hoping to work on a PS Vita version of Cross Reverie alongside a PlayStation 4 version once the PC version is out in late 2016 (it'll also be coming to Wii U and Xbox One).
As to the game itself, it follows eight of Xylera's bravest combatants as their one dream fulfilled as part of a centuries-old ritual.
However, it all goes awry when The Shadow moves in, turning it into The Trial of Nightmare, and changing the rules of the ritual.
The game has conditional turn-based battles meaning that you can see the order of character and enemy attacks ahead of time. It also lets you see how the cool-down time of an attack might affect that order before committing to it.
Cross Reverie also has a focus on replay value as events change according to which characters you decide to have in your party.
This means that relationships between characters and the story will be alter according to your party choices.
