Gearbox president Randy Pitchford has restated his desire to see
Borderlands 2 ported over to the PS Vita.
Speaking on
IGN chat show
Up at Noon, Pitchford echoed a statement he'd previously made to
Eurogamer, saying: "I think it would be awesome to have
Borderlands 2 on the Vita."
His enthusiasm for the project was tempered somewhat by some boring real-world practicalities, however. "But I'm really busy," Pitchford said. "We can't do it ourselves."

In Pitchford's view, a trustworthy studio who is already familiar with the Vita platform should take on the job - provided Sony put some financial weight behind the enterprise.
"I think Sony should step up and make that happen," Pitchford declared.
Out of thin airHe then went on to wax lyrical about the possibilities of using the cloud to transfer PS3 games saves to the Vita.
"When I take my Vita with me, I [would] have access to the same cloud save and can continue my character. Can you imagine how amazing that would be?"
Yes, Randy, we can.
Though Sony has yet to take up the
Borderlands 2 gauntlet, Pitchford claims to meet with the Vita manufacturer on a regular basis. Hope springs eternal.
For
Android gamers, too...

Forget the bland and evidently rinsed down COD, lets have an amazing online coop shooter that takes full advantage of the Vitas hardwares power and networking capabilities. I'm absolutely with Randy on this one - if it were just any company other than than Sony in charge of this thing...

This could be awesome if Sony does it correctly. Another great article James!
