2015 is over. You can't get it back. It's gone.

But don't weep! 2016 is just around the corner, and the next 12 months promise a bunch of fab new Vita games. Like...

Darkest Dungeon

A fun and involving dungeon crawler (especially thanks to a smart positional combat system), but what's really interesting is when one of your adventurers cracks under pressure and you get to see what they're really made of. Will they turn to religion? Or to booze?

Dragon Quest Builders

This is more than a Minecraft knock-off. I mean, it is a Minecraft knock-off. Of course it is. But it's also got proper RPG-style quests to get on with when you're tired of making blocky towns and villages (or if you need a few more materials for your massive castle).

Mighty No. 9

This game, from Mega Man maker Keiji Infanue, has had its fair share of Kickstarter-related controversy. But all that will be forgotten if this bouncy robot platformer turns out to be as good as it looks.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered

We know the puzzle solutions inside and out. We can recite whole sections of dialogue and remember almost every plot twist and turn. Yet we're still excited to revisit this ingenious and tremendously funny point and click.

Hitman Go

Hitman Go takes the basic hitman formula - cold calculated murder - and breaks that formula down into simple rules. Walk into the back of someone and they die, approach from the front and you die. This makes for compulsive, bite sized murdering.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles Trilogy Pack

If Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy Pack has one thing going for it, it’s that its name is quite fun to say. It might have two things going for it though, if the stealthy gameplay and side-scrolling platforming adventures end up being fun.

Axiom Verge

If a measure of a good game is how much it reminds us of Super Metroid (and what better metric is there?), then Axiom Verge is a very good game indeed. This sci-fi explore 'em up takes its cues from the SNES epic, but also has loads of ideas of its own. And that soundtrack? That soundtrack! One of the best of 2015.

Just wait until you shove this game in your ears.
