Look! Watch that video above. Do you see it? It's not a lot, but we get our first glimpse at how Koei Tecmo's Attack on Titan game will play.

And, yes, it looks pretty darn violent. Limbs are sliced off, backs of knees are cut, and the blood flies everywhere. It's quite a surprise from the creators of the Dynasty Warriors games, which have always avoided blood.

But it is as it should be. This is based on an anime about giants that stomp on people and eat their children, after all.

Attack on Titan

What's also promising about this footage is that it seems to capture the fluidity of the anime's action scenes pretty well. In the series, people fight against the Titans by using grappling hooks to mount them.

Their weak spot is found on the back of their necks. The Titans are defeated by slicing it open and letting the blood gush out. You can see this happening in the trailer.

Hopefully this game lives up to its promise as shown here. It'll be out for PS Vita, PS4, and PS3 in Japan later this year. We'll be getting it in 2016.
