There's nothing worse than getting sweaty thumbs while playing a mobile game, especially on iPhone.

However, a device called the Personal Input Pod (PIP for short) turns your sweat into actions in mobile games. It's the work of Irish firm Vyro Games, which is showing it off at Mobile World Congress.

The device is clasped between your thumb and forefinger, and uses biometric sensors to measure tiny changes in your moisture, to detect how relaxed (or not) you are. It then converts this raw data into actions in a game.

PocketGamer.biz played one game where you race dragons - the sweatier you are, the slower your dragon goes - and another where the aim is to calm a storm.

Vyro Games says it's talking to handset firms, operators and games companies about offering the technology to gamers. We reckon it would be great combined with a Zeemote...
