Mobile application analytics firm Flurry has revealed that more than 300 app developers signed up for its service in the first 60 days of its beta.

The company has now launched the service for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Java developers, and is providing a demo using live data so they can see how it works.

The idea is to do for mobile apps what Google Analytics does for websites, providing detailed metrics on how apps are being downloaded and used, so developers can tweak them in real-time.

Game developers are one of its key targets, thanks to features like tracking custom user events within games, to get a real sense of what people are doing.

"Rapid adoption of Flurry Analytics validates we’re solving a significant pain point for game and application developers," says CEO Simon Khalaf. "The response has exceeded our own expectations."

Flurry is just one of numerous startups focusing on this area, of course: rivals include Medialets, SiteCatalyst and Mobilytics, among others. More screenshots of Flurry are below:
