1200 free mobile games coming to Ovi Store
Ad-supported games migrating to Nokia platform
The Ovi Store has been hit and miss since it first launched, but lately Nokia has been pouring a lot of love and attention on its mobile app store.
That affection is apparently infectious, as mobile advertising company Greystripe has announced that the Nokia network will be its third mobile platform for ad-supported games.
"This announcement reinforces one of our main objectives as a network, to reach the broadest audience possible, in addition to our iPhone and Android users," says Greystripe CEO Michael Chang.
Greystripe already caters for the iPhone and Android platforms, providing them with a huge number of free games. Nonetheless, its focus is still very much on Java, as it currently enjoys over 250,000 mobile game downloads via its own GameJump service.
With Nokia's handsets on its books, this number is likely to skyrocket. And we all get free games to play, so everyone wins.
