Year Walk developer announces they're working on a longer, 'more gamey' project
|

Earlier today the developer of Year Walk, Simogo, announced their upcoming game Project Night Road (unofficial title), and it's going to be big.

In a rather lengthy post by Simogo, the update reads more like a riddle than a blog. No definite information. No juicy images for us to burn into our retinas. Only the euphoric wonderment as we question what kind of game this one is going to be.

Unlike their previous titles Project Night Road is apparently going to be a much bigger, more 'gamey' game but it also isn't. Simogo states "It's gamey in the way that it has goals, it has scoring systems and we're designing it to be enjoyable to play over and over. It's less of a game in that it's very influenced by many aspects of pop culture, both from now and our childhood."

Essentially they summarise to say that the official game won't be announced this year, outside of a teaser image or two, and we won't be getting a playable version for a while. But they leave us hanging after signing off with:

"So. Lastly. Some things this game has: A bunch of characters. Motorcycles. Dancing. Masks. Weird powers. A mysterious thrift store existing only in a girl's dream. And a really, really cool soundtrack."

What teases, you devious creatures. Read the full blog post here.
