Jon wasn't entirely convinced that Razer's bizarre Frankenstein tablet concept - a mash-up of PS Move-eque controllers and a traditional slate - would ever see the light of day.
Well, it seems as though Project Fiona actually will. Remarkably.

To recap... Late last week, Razer announced that it would only put its games-focused tablet into production if the firm's first Facebook post on Project Fiona amassed 10,000 Likes in a week. That number was reached on the first day, with the current thumbs-up count standing at over 28,000.
Whether all these newly secured Facebook fans will go on to purchase the tablet is another matter, of course, but at least Razer can now gauge interest levels (to some degree) in its novel new product.
Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan responded to the mass enthusiasm by confirming on Facebook and Twitter that Project Fiona will go into production.
Project Fiona's mission is to deliver PC gaming on a tablet. To that end, it features a 10.1-inch touchscreen, flanked by the two aforementioned controllers. Each of these controllers houses an analog stick and six buttons.
There's no word yet on a release date for Project Fiona. When the tablet is released, however, it should be available for less than $1,000.
Its not an Android tablet. It will supposedly be running a version of Windows 8. I think the only known specs are that it will have some version of the Intel i7 cpu. No word so far on memory, hdd size or gpu.
Ah, the continuing rise of the Adnroid Gaming tablet. This one looks a little unconfortable however, I might be interested in a 7" version however. Whilst vowing never to touch an Archos device again, I'm interested in the Archos Gaming Tab, the Wikipad looks ok too.
I've always found it odd that Sony didn't include some kind of virtual Android operating environment to so you could download compatible Google Play software. It would have been really cool! I guess it took the success of the OUYA to show Eastern Manufactuers that there was a market for this kind of stuff in the West.
