Jeez, would you look at the time? Another week has flown past in a blaze of glory, and as always there's been some ups and downs.
There may not have been as many surprise releases as there were last week, but we were certainly not left wanting.
With Robot Unicorn Attack 3 coming out of soft launch, Die With Glory finally making it out on the market, and more, it's been a pretty interesting few days.
War of Crown hits out on mobile
Gamevil's turn-based, strategic RPG launched this earlier this week. If you're a fan of this genre and enjoy a mix of story, tactical combat, and synchronous PvP battles, you might want to check this one out. It's free-to-play, so why the heck not?Angry Birds Island soft launches in Japan/Taiwan
This one slipped under our radars, and probably a few others', as Angry Birds Island soft launched pretty silently a couple of weeks ago. As you could expect from your typical resource manager, you've got to collect all of the basic goods the islands have to offer and use them to make other things. AppSpy's video wizard Jame Gilmour did a hands-on with it, so check that out below.Blizzard wants another stab at mobile
Yeah, I know, we're all pretty much addicted to Hearthstone, but is that all Blizzard's got under their hats for now? The answer is 'no' apparently. Earlier this week a NeoGAF-ian noted an interesting job on the company's job board advertising their need for a developer with mobile experience. The big question is: what sort of game will it be?Team17 drops a surprise on us
This one definitely came out of nowhere this week as Team17 dropped Penarium on us. This sadistic circus game was developed by the now disbanded studio Self Made Miracle, but clearly you guys were stoked to see it arrive on mobile. At only £1.99/$1.99 it's a pretty good price to snatch up, so give it a look over if you like a challenge.Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's got some controls to work around
Some of you may have had this little bundle of joy arrive on your doorstep - heck, some of you might even be playing it right now - so you probably won't care too much about this news. But, it was an interesting point to see that MK8D doesn't allow you to use Joy-Con pairs when playing wirelessly. When you look into the reason why, it's totally justified, so you can't be too bummed out by it.Well, that's all for another week, folks. I'll miss you like a plant misses sunlight, but we've only got to wait until next Sunday so I'll be strong.
