Hot Five: Shadowbreak's been announced, Candy Crush's game show gets a host, and Planescape is coming to iPad
|

Ahhh, Sunday rises again, ladies and gents, and it's time to look back on the past week of news.

It was a pretty update-heavy week, for sure, but we still had some pretty exciting and fun announcements, as well as another surge of Switch stock (which didn't last long).

But, that's enough of my usual yammering - let's just get down to it.

The Switch gets a touch more stock

These articles always go down a treat with you guys because, let's face it, Switch stock is still at a bit of a low. Even with the promise of double production and the like, it's a question of 'if' rather than 'when' we'll be seeing a rise in stock, especially here in the UK. Let's just hope that once the levels start rising it isn't too little too late for Nintendo.

Planescape is on its way to iPad

As Christian covered early this week, the legendary RPG Planescape was speculated to be coming to iPad not long ago, but eventually we got confirmation that we'd be seeing the game in a handheld version much to your guys' excitement.

Ubisoft announces: Tom Clancy's Shadowbreak

This one had you guys split down the middle I think. Half were stoked to see Shadowbreak's announcement and seemed pretty excited to get your hands on the game, but the other half of you were...not so favourable towards it. Shadowbreak certainly won't be for everyone but those who have had a chance at the game already seem to be enjoying it. I guess only time will tell.

Candy Crush Saga's new game show host is...

This one tickled me for a number of reasons. You'll possibly remember that Candy Crush, the addictive match-three mobile game, is getting its own game show over in the US, and - to my surprise - it actually doesn't sound bad. Better yet, they've called in Mario Lopez (that's Slater from Saved by the Bell) to host. Sign me up.

Hades' Star soft launches in Canada

Hades' Star is a space MMO first announced last year, much to your guys' excitement. After several months of waiting, any of you who live in Canada can now give the game a go on iOS or Android as it soft-launched earlier this week. Hurrah!

Well, that's all, folks. Another week rounded up and summarised in a single, simple package. What was your favourite game to come out this week? Let us know in the comments below.

With all that said and done, I'll speak to you again next Sunday for more hot - hot - HOT Five.
