Rovio is stepping up its efforts for global domination by releasing its popular physics-based Angry Birds on a physical disk, for those of you who don't have access to a new-fangled smartphone.

Published by Focus Multimedia, the PC release - which is set to fly onto store shelves on November 25th - will set you back a whopping £10. We presume you're paying for the disk and the plastic case that it comes in.

So, what's so special about the retail edition of Angry Birds?

"The PC version puts Angry Birds on the big screen (well, monitor) for that wider non-mobile audience who don't own or have access to smartphones or tablets," a spokesman for Focus Multimedia said.

It is, of course, possible to play Rovio's fling-'em-up on Google Chrome completely free of charge, or on a range of mobile devices for as little as 69p/99c.

Focus Multimedia is also planning to release Angry Birds Rio just before Christmas, and Angry Birds Seasons some time in 2012.
