On first glance you may not think that Zulobo's upcoming VR title Vertigo is worth investigating, but after watching its release trailer, we simply cannot resist taking notice.

Vertigo is a VR exploration game/first-person shooter in which you find yourself suddenly whisked away from your home and stuck in the bowels of Planck's International Quantum Reactor. With little more than you common sense and whatever tools you can find around you, you have to find your way to the surface and unravel the truth of the strange machine.

If it's not the super-bizarre choice of music that draws us into the trailer, it's the sheer amount of footage we're shown that makes Vertigo extremely interesting. From various parallel universes to mechanical foes, escaping may not be as easy as you originally thought.

Do we know what's actually going on in the game itself? Not really. Do we care? Not really. This game throws up the deep questions about time and space, alternate universes, and fringe sciences that we haven't thought about for a long time.

Set to release on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, we can expect to get our hands on the game on September 30th for $14.99. Head over to the Steam Store to find out more.
