As I'm sure most of you know, Minecon 2016 was a riotous success last weekend as per usual and lots of exciting stuff came to light. One of which is the first look at Minecraft being played with Oculus Touch.

Admittedly the news itself that Minecraft is getting an Oculus Touch makeover is probably more exciting than the taster video, but that's to be expected. It's still early in its development and so far seems like it could be an impressive addition to the sandbox game.

I don't know about you, but I jump out of my skin when a sneaky creepy blows up right next to me. Experience that in VR? Find me a new pair of pants.

It's still uncertain as to whether Minecraft will absolutely work as a Touch VR game. It could be a great concept but work poorly in action - I guess we'll just have to wait, watch, and see.

You can check out roadtovr's article for a little more information and the demo video. Those who already have the Oculus edition of Minecraft won't have long to wait as the Touch Support releases on October 18th.
