O2 mobile game download charts and new releases: May 16th

You can have a night out on the town, or a quiet night in front of the box with this week's new releases. At least you can in a figurative sense; these are mobile games, after all.

If it's bright lights and late nights you crave, New York City Nights 2 looks to have both as well as a generous selection of chiseled sophisticates populating its date-themed sim action. If you're more nose ring and crowd surfing than Starbucks and Harry Potter, however, you might be better off opting for some good old gig going with Guitar Rock Tour.

Then for the mug of tea and slippers crowd there's UEFA Euro 2008 and an updated version of everyone's favourite gameshow featuring a sarcastic sadist, The Weakest Link: Movies and TV, both of which should keep you entertained in the sanctity of your own home (or at least remind you of it when you're on the bus).

Of course, the one institution that unites both revellers and couch dwellers alike is take-away junk food, a generous helping of which can be found in the casual effort, Burger Rush.

Chart-wise, Crash Bandicoot: Nitro Kart has proved to be great in acceleration but lacking in a reliable cruising speed, having only lasted one week in the top spot to be supplanted this week by Brain Challenge, a game whose stamina knows no bounds. The similarly tenacious Bejeweled and Tetris Mania follow in second and third place, with most of the other titles having a bit of a position juggle but without too much drama.

In fact, the only new entry this week is Indiana Jones IV which has knocked out Midnight Bowling 2, for the time being at least.
