O2 mobile game download charts and new releases: May 9th

Another week, another four releases and on this occasion, all of them from the box and the big screen. Swooping in with merry abandon for gravity is Iron Man, which based on the film's current torrent of hype we're expecting it should end up bothering the charts before long.

In fairness, it's not as if there has or ever will be a film or even a TV show about Boom Blox, but it is Steven Spielberg's first proper foray into gaming and if you don't know why that cements a connection then you deserve to be rescued from a shark attack by a passing UFO which will whisk you into space without giving you a chance to phone home.

Heading up the TV side of things is another entry into Eidos's series of Top Trumps games, this time with Top Trumps: Dr Who and a new mobile take on the connoisseur's choice of daytime television, Countdown (yes, it even beats Diagnosis Murder in our opinion).

In the charts, meanwhile, there have been all sorts of mysterious goings on. The usually tenacious Monopoly Here & Now has slipped to fifth from first after just two weeks in the charts, leaving space for Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart to zoom to the top spot.

Then there is Bejeweled, which was nowhere to be seen last week, but is now sitting pretty as a re-entry at number three. Last of the fresh faces is SimCity Societies which means that Deal or No Deal, Midnight Pool and Casino 12 Pack have all been ousted (though no doubt at least one of them will be back before long).
