The summer blockbuster licences mark their mobile territory...

O2 mobile game download charts and new releases: May 2nd

Lara Croft, eat your heart out! The original khaki clad tomb bothering archaeologist is back with a bang and you'd be presumably drunk on a sacrificial blood cocktail in the Temple of Doom if you thought Indy's return to the big screen wasn't going to be accompanied by a mobile game. At the opposite end of the scale from the whipping action supplied by Indiana Jones IV this week, there is Jenga, a game that is all about poise, nerve and a very steady hand.

If, however, you've been pining away the years wishing for a game that mixes the breakneck action of supersonic car racing with kung fu and a wilful disregard for Isaac Newton's contributions to science, then Speed Racer, the mobile game based on another forthcoming summer blockbuster film, is almost certainly going to perk up your day.

If that all sounds a bit silly, you could always push a webbed foot to the floor in Crazy Frog Racing. Actually, come to think of it, that might be just as daft but, hey, it's nice to have options.

In the chart this week, there has been a reasonable amount of movement. Predictably, Monopoly Here & Now is still sitting pretty at the top of the chart, but elsewhere there are a few surprises. After an unexpected re-entry a good few weeks ago, Bejeweled has gone from being in second place last week to singing on the streets for a home.

Joining it are the less stubborn Sonic 2: Dash! and 2-4-1 Sega Game Pack, meaning that there are three new entries this week. We say new, but then chances are most of you will have come across LMA 08 and World Snooker 08 already, though Midnight Bowling 2 is a welcome fresh face.

Everything else has done its usual reshuffle, so read on for the rest of the hairy details. And remember, the games below are available to buy via the O2 games portal or by texting the short code from a compatible O2 handset. Enjoy!
