O2 mobile game download charts and new releases: April 11th

On first glance at the new release list this week, we thought it was a welcome case of out with the old, in with the new. There are nine new titles taking up residence on O2's games portal this week, though on closer inspection we have to say, some of them seem to have been around the block more than once already.

Even so, Prehistoric Tribes, Nowhere, Turbo Pizza, Friends Reunited School Days, Phoenix Wright Episode 2 Pt 1 and Casino 12 Pack are certainly fresh gaming sweet meats. Perhaps Sonic 2: Dash and Brick Breaker Revolution less so, but they are hardly over-ripe yet. How Monopoly Here & Now has found its way into the new releases list isn't entirely a mystery (EA who now owns the licence has decided to bring out its own version), and as it's a pretty playable title we're not going to complain.

In the charts, there has been some movement, resulting in The Simpsons Minutes To Meltdown, Midnight Pool and 2-4-1 Brain Pack finding themselves out of the loop. In their place is some much needed fresh blood with 2-4-1 Sega Game Pack, CSI The Mobile Game and, er, Monopoly Here & Now. Okay, so it's not all fresh blood, but at least it's a change of scenery.

As for the rest of the chart, Bejeweled is still impressively claiming the top spot for its own, while Ms Pac-Man, Tetris Mania and the ever tenacious Brain Challenge continue to assert their dominance up and down the top 10.
