O2 mobile game download charts and new releases: February 1st

It seems almost deliberate that The Sims 2 Castaway should land on O2's mobile games portal in the same week that Lost is back on the telly.

But if spending weeks stuck on a desert island and learning to cope with protagonists' incumbent emotional and physical challenges doesn't sound like your particular kettle of fish, you could always go for a rollercoaster ride of your own design in Line Rider.

Other new releases include the new Worms 2-4-1 Worms and Worms Crazy Golf package which will no doubt give you plenty of bang/swing for your buck, the casino-'em-up Spin & Win, and yet another pool game in the shape of Pool Star Atlantic City.

And so on with the top 10 chart, which has had its biggest shake up in weeks. The departures include Catchphrase, Phil Taylor's Darts 3, World Snooker Championship and CSI Miami. Their respective replacements are FIFA Manager 08, Block Breaker Deluxe, Brain Challenge and The Simpsons: Minutes to Meltdown. Strange that three relatively old titles (especially Block Breaker Deluxe) should make a re-entry but such is the way of the capricious – sorry, discerning – mobile game buying public.

As for the top end, Tetris Mania is still commanding the most downloads followed closely by the ever dependable Deal or No Deal but the Sims 2 has slip slided all the way into the latter half of the chart. Will it climb back into the top five by next week? We couldn't say but in the meantime remember that all of the games below are available to buy via the O2 games portal or by texting the short code from a compatible O2 handset. Enjoy!
