O2 mobile game download charts and new releases: June 29th

Welcome to a peculiarly glitzy edition of O2's Top 10 Java games download, boasting a host of the summer's hottest stars.

Okay, so by 'host of' we actually mean 'two', but with Shrek 3 in the top spot and Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix straight in at three, the summer's movie blockbusters are clearly making their presence felt.

And there's no place on the red carpet for Noel Edmonds, as Deal or No Deal FINALLY slips out of the top ten entirely. Doubtless in the words of another star, he'll be back, especially if a budget price tag is applied to his game. For no less than seven of the top 10 (the other exception being Worms 2007) owe their popularity at least in part to their half-price status.

That balance should be redressed next week, with the arrival of two big-name full price releases in the shape of the hard-hitting Virtua Tennis mobile edition from Glu and the latest in I-play's best-selling The Fast and the Furious series.
