O2 mobile game download charts and new releases: November 28th

Admittedly, the charts have been pretty much set in stone for ages, but we actually had to double check that we had the right figures this week. Almost nothing's changed, other than Need for Speed Undercover creeping in at number 10, and although this game definitely deserves to be in the list, we kind of expected to see it before now.

Still, any new game has the elite of handheld gaming to compete with right now, and usurping Tetris and Bejeweled is the kind of task that would change the face of the games industry, as it'd mean we had a new revolutionary puzzle game to obsess over. Coming in second place to those kind of giants is nothing to be ashamed of.

The new releases seem to have something of a TV gameshow theme to them, which is a little odd to be honest. There are lots of reasons to watch the telly at this time of year, I suppose, but generally Christmas isn't known for its ability to push quiz show licenses. Maybe the Bond film (assuming we get one on Christmas Day this year), a Wallace & Gromit game or an action adventure based somehow around the Queen's speech, but you'd think toy and movie licences would be more apposite to the festive season.

Nonetheless, we've got adaptations of Eggheads and Top Gear headlining, with a compilation featuring Lucky Strike and Jim 'nothing in this game for two in a bed' Bowen's Bullseye bringing up the rear. Perhaps it makes sense to wile away those long winter evening with a good game show, though? I guess we've got the opportunity to find out now, anyway. Enjoy!
