Forget the good old days of the Cold War. Nowadays, when we worry about the nuclear menace, it's terrorists we're fearing. Well, that and George W. Bush being allowed within a mile of the Red Button, of course.

Thankfully, modern-day politicians don't feature in Nuclear Collapse, a new game from Mexican-German developer Faces Of Mars. Instead, it's set in the year 2039, at a time when humans have been enslaved by alien overlords.

Your aim: free the world.

You can play as various professions, including a boxer, sniper, doctor and technician. There are 20 quests to work your way through, more than 50 characters to meet along the way, and hundreds of weapons and armour to collect.

Visually, it looks like a cross between Eidos' Hitman: Blood Money LA and Digital Chocolate's Mafia Wars Yakuza. Have a squizz at the YouTube trailer below to get a better idea of what's involved. Er, you might want to turn the sound down though – we're not that keen on the music...
