Nokia World 2011: Nokia announces Asha 200, 201, 300, and 303 phones

Nokia VP of mobile phones Blanca Juti has taken to the stage at Nokia World 2011 to announce four new phones: the Asha 200, 201, 300, and 303.

Aimed at emerging markets, the Asha 200 is a phone with a "wicked personality".

It can hold dual-SIMs, boasts an MP3 player, and houses 32GB of storage. What's most impressive, though, is its battery, which Juti claims will allow up to 52 hours of music playback.

The Asha 200 and 201 (the same as the 200 bar the dual-SIM capability) will also feature WhatsApp, a popular BBM-esque cross-platform IM service.

Moving on

The Asha 300, on the other hand, packs both a physical QWERTY keyboard and a touch-enabled display. It'll sport a 5-megapixel camera, and allow you to view your social network updates right from your home screen.

Finally, the Asha 303 also features both a physical keyboard and a capacitive touchscreen, Nokia Maps, and a 1GHz "engine".

The 303 will support both wi-fi and 3G networks, and will feature Nokia's cloud-powered browser, meaning you can browse more at a lower cost.

You'll even get to play Angry Birds in your spare time, thanks to a partnership between the mobile phone maker and developer Rovio. This applies to all Series 40 phones.
