McDonald's Tokyo introduces DS download service

Conservative parents get ready to ignite, because today sees the unholy alliance of your children's greatest enemies: junk food and video games. DS Fanboy reports that several Tokyo branches of McDonald's, as well as stations along the Tsukuba Express line, have launched a download service.

Between pushing parcels of salt and fat into their mouths customers can download nutritional information, menus, weather reports, horoscopes, a brain training demo, and something unfathomable called "McDonald's news".

The service is called "Nintendo Spot", and it's going to run till June 30th in McDonald's, and December 28th at the train stations. No news about whether it'll come to the west as yet, but I'm sure we can influence Nintendo/McDonald's direction with a unified voice.

So, all together now: "DON'T!"
