If you were going to count on anyone to say something a bit nasty about Nintendo's DSi, obviously it's the company with a direct rival to the console. Yes - we're looking at you Sony.

And the company hasn't disappointed, with - as Kotaku has reported - its director of hardware John Koller having this to say about Nintendo's upcoming newly redesigned DS.

"I can see the DSi being successful. The DS Lite was obviously very successful. Will DSi do well with [the DS's] demographic? It probably will. Will it be a product that expands their user base [beyond] under 12? I'm not sure."

Ooh - the DS is a console for kids. That hurts, Sony. Now we just need Nintendo to come out and say the PSP-3000 is all fancy features and no games to support them, and it'll be like trash-talking before a WWE match.

Seeing as the two redesigned consoles will be going head-to-head in Japan shortly, with just a couple of weeks separating their release dates, we have to say we'd quite enjoy a bit of rivalry in the build-up. Come on Nintendo - let's hear your reply.
