A bit vague, but at least it’s coming

Contained within Nintendo’s recently released Financial Results Briefing document is a bit of good news for the European and US release of the DSi console.

Squirreled away at the bottom of the document is the company’s launch schedule, which details the DSi hardware as coming to both the US and Europe in Spring/Summer 2009.

We’d hoped for a spring release, to be honest, as this vague date could potentially push the DSi’s release back to the end of August, though the accompanying software listings do suggest it might be sooner rather than later.

By the looks of things, we can only look forward to two DS games anytime soon, those being Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir and the fitness software that comes bundled with ‘Activity Meters’ called Walk With Me! Do You Know Your Walking Routine?. Sounds like a bundle of laughs, eh?

The DSi is still performing well in Japan, so early adopters should probably start topping up their piggy banks before too much longer: it’s on its way.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
