Oh to be in Nagoya, Japan today, for that's the location of Nintendo World 06.

The touring exhibition (well, it takes in Osaka and Tokyo anyway) is a showcase for forthcoming DS and Wii games. And if the DS selection is anything to go by, there are certainly some interesting titles for us to look forward to in 2007.

Heading our most wanted list are Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl games, which have already sold 2.5 million copies in only four weeks on sale in Japan.

Hot in their heels is Kaitou Wario Seven, the first proper Wario game to grace the DS, which depending on your Japanese translation means either Phantom Wario: The Seven or Mysterious Thief Wario Seven in English. Either way, we'd hazard a guess that Wario is up to no good.

Another classic Nintendo character returning to DS is Kirby in the oddly named Kirby: Mouse Attack. Unlike the heavily touchscreen-oriented Kirby Power Paintbrush, Mouse Attack, which we played earlier this year at the E3 game show, sees the little pink blob in a D-pad platformer, where his ability to copy the moves of his enemies by inhaling and swallowing them will be in full effect.

The rest of Nintendo's line-up is dominated with Touch Generation games such as Common Sense Training for Adults, More Brain Training, Everybody's Play Encyclopedia and 100 Poems by 100 Famous Poets.

It's not only Nintendo who's showing off its DS prowess at Nintendo World. Electronic Arts is demoing SimCity DS, while Capcom has Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice for All. Square Enix is rolling out some more roleplaying games, notably Chocobo and the Magical Picture Book and Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker, and Marvellous is expanding its farming sim line with Harvest Moon: Home Island.

If you're there right now, bring us back a few copies? Thanks!
