Nintendo responds to 'black screen of death' complaints

3DS

The Nintendo 3DS launched over the weekend, and as is expected of any hardware launch it wasn't without its problems.

A number of 3DS gamers reported that they'd witnessed a 'black-screen of death' - essentially an error screen that popped up for an unknown reason, and required a system restart.

A representative from Nintendo UK has now released the following statement to NowGamer:

"If anyone is experiencing any problems with their Nintendo 3DS console, we recommend that in the first instance they download and install the latest system update, now available online.

"If the problems still persist we recommend they contact their local Nintendo Customer Service centre to investigate the problem further."

Nobody at Pocket Gamer towers has been unfortunate enough to catch a glimpse of this error yet. Have you?
