Japanese fans line up to pre-order 3DS

It’s not an uncommon sight for console launches to be greeted with queues of fans, many of whom have waited through the night in order to secure their console.
Japanese fans eager to get their hands on a 3DS have taken this ritual one step further by queuing just to pre-order one.
Last week it was reported that demand may exceed supply when the 3DS is launched in Japan on the 26th February, and one retailer had suggested pre-ordering the handheld the minute it became possible to do so.
Many fans were obviously heeding the advice and not taking any chances, as Andriasang reports that 260 people were counted queuing up at one store in Tokyo this morning when 3DS pre-ordering opened.
