Clifford Michael Blezinski wants to lose his juvenile moniker, Cliffy B. But that’s about as likely as us forgetting that esteemed Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg was in Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.

Anyway, I digress. The Gears of War creator made a quick mention of Nintendo’s new device in a GameTrailers video for the upcoming Xbox 360 shooter. He said “it’s actually really good,” asserting that it’s the kind of 3D he wants, because “I don’t wanna wear glasses.”

Activision, too, thinks the DS is great. Speaking with Gamespot, Activision COO Thomas Tippl said “It got a great reception. It’s a brilliant product. Nintendo’s figured out the glasses – or the lack thereof – are key,”

The publisher behind Call of Duty and Tony Hawk appeared among the barrage of 3DS titles, with DJ Hero planned for the device, but Tippl says more titles are coming.

He also spoke about Nintendo’s mysterious plans to nuke piracy, saying “and if they also address the piracy issues they have and upgrade the copyright protection system, I think it's going to be a big success.”
