Google's Nexus One available for pre-order in UK

We in the UK have been able to get our hands on Google’s flagship Android device, the Nexus One, directly from the company for some time now.

However, this has meant dealing with the big ‘G’ if and when any issues arose, which has proved to be far from ideal for many customers.

Now Vodafone is taking pre-orders for the device from UK customers, with delivery of the handsets due for April 30th. Getting the Android 2.1-running unit on one of their contracts will, of course, mean getting direct customer support from the operator.

If you’d rather walk into a Vodafone shop and buy a Nexus One, you’ll be able to do so from May 1st.

Contracts start from £35 per month for a 24 month deal.
