Google issuing refund to overcharged T-Mobile Nexus One customers

The Nexus One has performed moderately well, with an estimated 20,000 units flying off Google's virtual shelves, but the internet giant appears to be having a few teething troubles when it comes to casually wandering the smartphone fields.
It hasn't coped all that well with customer complaints (normally buffered by the networks) and developers were disgruntled at not getting hold of the Android 2.1 SDK before it went public.
It seems Google is addressing issues already, though. In the US, T-Mobile customers who upgraded to the Nexus One faced a pretty hefty price for their loyalty, with the device weighing in at close to the SIM-free price.
In response, Mountain View has cut the upgrade price to $279 from the previous $379, and offered a refund to those who coughed up full whack in the first place.
Got to love a company that makes an effort to correct its mistakes, eh? Let's just hope it gives Google food for thought when it comes to slapping a price tag on the UK Nexus One launch.
