Good news, UK-based Android lovers: Google's flagship Nexus 7 tablet is now being shipped to everybody who pre-ordered it. It's also now available in shops, so that's good.

You can grab the slate's 16GB model from retailers such as PC World and Currys - both of which are flogging the tablet for £199. Unfortunately, neither appear to have the £159 8GB model available for purchase.

According to retailers in the US, where the tablet went on sale before the weekend, the tablet has been flying off store shelves, with some retailers reporting that they've completely sold out.

The Nexus 7 tablet, which has been built by manufacturer Asus, packs a Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, and Google's Jelly Bean mobile operating system. As you've probably guessed, it also features a 7-inch display with a density of 216 pixels-per-inch.
