Mid-week iOS releases: Outwitters, Heroes in Time, TheEndApp, and more

Welcome back to Pocket Gamer's round-up of the latest iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad mid-week releases.

As you all probably know by now, we produce this article each week because we're simply too busy to bring you a story on every single new game that hits the App Store.

These games have recently hit Apple's New Zealand outlet, meaning they should be available to download in the UK and US from around midnight this evening.

iPhone Astronaut Spacewalk

In this highly realistic astronaut jetpack simulator, you fly a Manned Manouvering Unit from a space shuttle cargo bay out to several satellites, then align them and get your backside back to safety.

According to Astronaut Spacewalk's App Store description, it's "pretty to look at but difficult to master".

Outwitters
By One Man Left Studios - download for iPhone

Outwitters is a turn-based multiplayer title from the same studio that developed the Bronze Award-winning Tilt to Live. In it, you take turns with one or your friends (or a complete stranger) to manoeuvre troops around a grid with the aim of destroying opposing targets.

You can play on a single device or play asynchronously over the interweb. You can even play two-on-two matches.

Heroes in Time

Heroes in Time, the follow-up to SEED 2: Vortex of War, is a free-to-play RPG in which you embark on a dangerous adventure to save the Kingdom of Maxima from evil.

This title is said to feature "hours upon hours" of gameplay and a "deep, well-written, and exciting story".

Captain Antarctica

Fancy pulling on an experimental fish-powered jet scuba suit and setting off on a chilly adventure to rescue your wife and kids? We thought so.

Your adventure will take you to six unique locations - all of which are packed with enemies, obstacles, and huge bosses. Thankfully, you have access to a variety of gadgets that will aid your cause.

Jar on a Bar

Your aim in Jar on a Bar is to get a fish back to his river home by removing the bars his bowl's balancing on. You'll also be striving to earn a three-star rating on each level.

Naturally, this isn't as easy as it sounds, for you'll have to remove bars in the correct order to prevent your fishy's bowl from tipping over.

TheEndApp

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, TheEndApp tasks you with sprinting through hazard-filled streets in order to collect duct tape and any other supplies you need to keep your survival camp up and running.

There's also an Endless mode if you just want to see how far you can travel without sprinting into a burning police car.
