Mid-week iOS releases: TwinGo!, Cavorite 2, Adventure Bar Story, Coco Loco, Kids vs Goblins, and more

Welcome back to Pocket Gamer's round-up of the latest iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad mid-week releases.

As you all probably know by now, we produce this article each week because we're simply too busy to bring you a story on every single new game that hits the App Store.

These games have recently hit Apple's New Zealand outlet, meaning they should be available to download in the UK and US from around midnight this evening.

Storm Strikers is an indie shoot-'em-up featuring seven action-packed stages, four different difficulty levels, and a bunch of different game modes.

These include the "epically challenging" Arcade EX mode, a Practice mode, and a special Boss Rush mode.

As you play this shooter, which is from the creator of the acclaimed Danmaku Unlimited, you can mount an assault on Game Center leaderboards.

The fourth instalment in G5's popular hidden object series sees you attempt to prevent a potential catastrophe and save the world.

Using special Ring of Time and X-Glass devices, you have to travel around the world and through time to save your sister from her archnemesis: Totenkraft.

Your adventure takes place over 45 different levels and two game modes: Casual and Advanced.

Monster Flip

Monster Flip is a match-three puzzler that tasks you with swiping, flipping, and, erm, matching three or more similarly coloured monsters.

There are four game modes: Classic, which charges you with collecting points; Puzzle, which sees you attempt to solve 60 tricky puzzles; Countdown, which gives you exactly two minutes to make matches; and Sequence.

This final mode sees you put together - or try to, at least - the perfect combination of moves.

This action-packed adventure title, which will only work on the iPhone 4S and iPad 2, takes place on a magical - and mysterious - island following a freak storm.

You take on the role of three different children, and battle it out with a bunch of goblins who have snatched your baby brother.

You control these three children simultaneously by dragging lines from their bodies to your desired destination. You can unleash more than 60 magical attacks.

If you've ever wanted to take control of a troop of fearless marshmallow heroes and save your buddies from the deadly clutches of the dreaded chocolate guardians (who hasn't?), take a gander at Coco Loco.

Your mission, which takes place over four unique environments and 60 different stages, is to grab your baseball bat and send your puffy friends - each with unique skills - crashing into your foes' chocolate defences.

Plants War is a flora-packed real-time strategy title in which you help a gang of flowers extract power from a special lake so that they can defend themselves against invading beasties.

You can purchase different units - each with unique skills - using leaves that you accumulate throughout play, and jump straight into the game's 30+ levels.

There are three difficulty levels designed to test your skills: Normal, Hard, and Hell.

Adventure Bar Story takes elements from the simulation and role-playing genres, mixes them together, and tasks you with running one of those taverns you encounter in numerous RPGs.

Naturally (perhaps), your dishes are all created from the remains of the beasties you manage to defeat in battle. For example, if you manage to slay a dragon, you can chop it up and serve it to your hungry customers.

You'll have to navigate your way through ten unique dungeons to create the game's 400 tasty recipes.

The majority of your species has been killed or captured by the ominous "monsters of the Abyss", which means it's up to you to prevent complete extinction.

You do this by freeing young lightopus from the Abyss monsters' sealzones, and collecting stars to open the monster's guarded hive.

Once it's open, you can get your own back and destroy as many baby monsters as you can before they hatch.

Cavorite 2 is a puzzle-platformer that sees you - once again - take on the role of Dr Cavor as he musters up the courage to descend into the lunar labyrinth.

Once there, you have to use the good doctor's anti-gravity gun to solve puzzles across more than 63 levels, and collect powerful moon gems that are needed to get back home.

There are three unique worlds to explore, loads of boss battles to overcome, and around 60 Game Center achievements to unlock.

TwinGo! charges you with aiding two "Weather Twins" - one made of fire and the other ice - as they attempt to overcome puzzles and reclaim the stars that they've stupidly misplaced.

There are 105 levels spread across three distinct worlds - all of which require you to make both brothers work together to progress.
