iOS

Welcome back to Pocket Gamer's round-up of the latest iPhone and iPad mid-week releases.

As you all probably know by now, we produce this article because we're simply too busy to bring you a story on every single new mid-week release.

These games have recently hit the New Zealand App Store, meaning they should be available to download in the UK and US from around midnight this evening.

iPhone

Invader Hunter

If its App Store description is to be believed, Invader Hunter is the "first high-quality hunting game for iPhone". We don't know about that, but we're struggling to think of any other iOS hunting games that take place on a space station.

Anyway, you have around 100 explosive weapons at your disposal, which you can use to blast through the game's 35 levels - all of which are packed with aliens of all shapes, sizes, and abilities.

Tobe & Friends Hookshot Escape

This endless-platformer sees you take on the role of one of four young friends and attempt to survive in a crumbling cave for as long as you possibly can.

Each of the game's playable characters - which all come packing a unique ability and skill - is said to change "how the game is played".

You can boost your stats, scores, and abilities by finding and equipping yourself with more than 20 special items.

The Drop Out

The Drop Out is a physics-based puzzler in which you hurl small creatures called Boos at larger creatures called Furries. Why? To knock them to safety, of course.

Be warned, though: each of the game's levels features a number of Evil Furries, who will hinder your progress if you get too close to them.

There are four different stages and 120 unique levels in The Drop Out.

Kale In Dinoland

This "authentic" Game Boy-esque platformer tasks you with aiding Kale as he attempts to successfully navigate the many hazards and perils of Dinoland and rescue his girlfriend.

You'll have to do this through more than 50 levels, which are spread across six unique areas.

Despite claims from its developer, Kale In Dinoland isn't actually a genuine port of a Game Boy game. In fact, it isn't even a 'fake' port. This is basically because no such Game Boy title exists.

There are numerous game modes on offer: Normal, which lets you enjoy the game at your own pace; Time Attack, which gives you 60 minutes to complete the experience; and Survival, which tasks you with not dying.

You can unlock Game Center achievements as you play.

Universal Zombie Panic in Wonderland Plus

This action-packed zombie-filled shooter charges you with destroying the waves of flesh-eating undead that have invaded a variety of fairytale kingdoms.

The game's App Store description promises that you can drop the developer "a line" to suggest new features for future updates.

Zombie Panic in Wonderland managed to top WiiWare's worldwide rankings when it was released on Nintendo's online store, so it's worth checking out.

AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! (Force = Mass x Acceleration)

Your aim in F=ma (you'll thank us in the end) is to carelessly hurl yourself from buildings that float above Boston, Massachusetts, and gracefully perform stunts to earn a high score.

You can boost this score by weaving around objects and flipping people off as you plummet towards the ground. You rebel, you.

F=ma features 47 levels.
