As you all probably know by now, we produce this article because we're simply too busy to bring you a story on every single new mid-week release.
These games have recently hit the New Zealand App Store, meaning they should be available to download in the UK and US from around midnight this evening.
iPhone Star Marine: Infinite AmmoPlaying as a battle-hardened drifter in Star Marine: Infinite Ammo, you have to destroy wave after wave of the extraterrestrial nasties that have taken you hostage.
You have seven different weapons to help you complete your task, including the awesome-sounding Decimator HD: a highly explosive grenade launcher.

Chillingo's new undead-filled shooter sees you visit ancient Egypt, a Viking hut, a scary castle, and a range of other locations on the hunt for flesh-eating zombies.
Unfortunately, ninjas, sumo wrestlers, and flaming pharaohs are also out to cause you trouble, so it's a good job you have a tasty selection of weapons up your sleeve.

This Grand Theft Auto-esque title throws you headlong into a battle between two vicious games, who are duking it out for control of the mean streets of Miami.

Woody Woodpecker
If you've been crying out for an iPhone and iPad racing game featuring Walter Lanz's Woody Woodpecker, you're in luck. Chillingo has brought one to the App Store.
The 2D racer lets you choose between five franchise favourites - Woody Woodpecker, Chilly Willy, Winnie Woodpecker, Miss Meanie, and Buzz Buzzard - each with its own set of stats and skills, such as acceleration.

Run Roo Run is an auto-run micro-platformer from the creator of Scribblenauts. Basically, you have to tap your device's screen as you travel across Australia in order to avoid obstacles and hazards.
There are a massive 420 bite-sized levels to work your way through, but developer 5th Cell plans to introduce an additional ten stages on a weekly basis.
