Welcome back to Pocket Gamer's round-up of the latest iPhone and iPad mid-week releases.

As you all probably know by now, we produce this article because we're simply too busy to bring you a story on every single new mid-week release.

These games have recently hit the New Zealand App Store, meaning they should be available to download in the UK and US from around midnight this evening.

iPhone Christmasville: The Missing Santa Adventures

Okay, kids: start worrying. That fat guy who climbs down your chimney every Christmas has gone missing. Luckily, you're a private detective known as Arthur Knight.

If you haven't already guessed, your / Arthur's aim is to find clues, solve puzzles, and rescue Santa from his captors.

Universal Green Farm 2

Gameloft's Green Farm 2 is the French publisher's second attempt at a FarmVille-esque iPhone and iPad title. As you can probably imagine, the game charges you with growing crops, feeding animals, visiting friends, and more.

At review, we gave the original Green Farm offering a measly 6/10, so we hope this sequel can improve on its predecessor's gameplay.

The Bard's Tale

PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC role-playing title The Bard's Tale sees you take on the role of a selfish rogue who can wage war by summoning characters to aid him in battle.

There are 50 different types of enemies to slay as you explore towns, castles, and forests, and a number of bosses to overcome. Thankfully, you have over 150 weapons and items to help you in your task.

Sparky vs. Glutters

Your aim in Sparky vs. Glutters is to feed a strange race of greedy creatures until they grow large and eventually pop. You do this over 60 levels.

If you get bored with the game's main Adventure mode, there are an additional five modes to keep you entertained: Puzzle, Arcade, Glutters, Survival, and Infinity.

BigBot Smash

If you've ever wanted to get revenge on the human race for cruelly dismantling your tasty robot girlfriend, BigBot Smash could be for you.

You can upgrade the game's three playable machines with death rays, antimatter pulse beams, the special "5 Million Angry Hamsters power source", and other equally powerful-sounding treats.

Infinity Blade 2

Infinity Blade 2 doesn't really need an introduction, but my paymasters tell me I have to give you one, anyway. Chair Entertainment's sequel once again uses Epic's Unreal Engine 3 to produce some of the best graphics seen on the platform.

This time around, you can dispatch the game's many foes using three different styles of combat: standard, dual-wielding, two-handed.

Egg Punch

Egg Punch sees you don a shell suit (not the Scouse kind) and roll your way through mazes and puzzles in an attempt to reclaim your feathers, which have been mercilessly stolen.

There are six different worlds to explore - each of which houses nine levels.

McGyro

McGyro thrusts you into the shoes of a gun-slinging sheriff who sees all of his foes as cardboard cutouts. Apparently, this helps him police the Wild West.

Anyway, your mission is to kill enemies across five levels - each containing three stages - using your device's gyroscope.
