Mid-week iOS releases: Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots, Bike Baron, Whale Trail, Rope Rescue, and more

Welcome back to Pocket Gamer's round-up of the latest iPhone and iPad mid-week releases.
As you all undoubtedly know by now, we produce this article because we're simply too busy to bring you a story on every single new mid-week release.
This week is one of the best we've had for a while, with much-anticipated titles Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots, Bike Baron, and Whale Trail all hitting Apple's digital store.
These games are in the New Zealand App Store right now, which means that you should be able to grab them in the UK and US from around midnight this evening.
iPhoneFruit Ninja: Puss in Boots
Halfbrick's Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots, as we're sure you've already guessed, features DreamWorks's mouthy feline Zorro-wannabe Puss in Boots.
This follow-up to Pocket Gamer Silver Award-winning Fruit Ninja also features an all-new Bandito mode, which sees you complete a range of new challenges, such as slicing massive fruit from a giant's castle.

Adult Swim's latest iPhone offering is Bring Me Sandwiches!!, a game that sees you save the earth from an alien invader with mouthfuls of sandwiches.
During this mission, you'll travel between the USA, Mexico, Italy, Japan, and the outer space Planet Nuzz, earning Game Center achievements along the way.

Chillingo's Rope Rescue charges you with dragging a length of rope around a set of gears and attaching it to a cage in order to release your friends.
It goes without saying that there are enemies, fires, and other "rope-wrecking" hazards that aim to spoil your day. There are special bonuses for collecting butterflies as you play.

Mage Gauntlet is a "classic-style action-RPG" inspired by the Legend of Zelda, in which you explore 84 levels, collecting pets and bagging items.
According to the app's description, its developer "wanted to make a fast-paced RPG that doesn't waste your time with fetch quests".

After waking up in a freezing cold lab, you have to help escort Robo5 to the exit of 40 levels, which are spread over five different chapters.
There are eight hidden diaries to seek out, and two different endings to find.

Civiballs is a puzzle game that transports you to three famous civilisations - Roman, Viking, Incan - and tasks you with filling coloured vases with similarly coloured balls.
This requires some brain power, catapults, fountains, volcanoes, and an assortment of other goodies.

Fara
Fara is another retro-inspired action-RPG set in a "dynamic environment full of quests, abilities, and items". The game's various locations are a mix of hand-drawn creations and modern effects.
Apple's social gaming network Game Center is on board with a selection of leaderboards and achievements.

Bike Baron is the latest project from Minigore developer Mountain Sheep, and it tasks you with racing to the end of 40 different tracks.
Naturally, there are explosive barrels and other hazards out to hinder you. When you're tired of being blown to smithereens, you can build your very own levels.

Labelled "the game Tiny Wings wishes it could be" by Pocket Gamer's own Jon Jordan, Whale Trail sees you using one finger to navigate Willow the whale through a magical rainbow world.
Along the way, you'll have to avoid the angry Thunder Brothers, collect speed boosts, and escape from the clutches of the evil Baron Von Barry.

Crazy Escape tasks you with helping two 4x4-driving penguin buddies save their best sheep friends, who have been snatched by a pack of hungry wolves.
You do this by drawing the road on which they will travel, with your finger's momentum dictating their speed.

Putter King Adventure Golf is a 3D miniature golf game featuring 24 unique themed holes, with three extra user-designed efforts to be added by the dev at a later date.
You can slip into your poshest trousers and smash a few balls through four different game modes: Championship, Timed Trial, Multiplayer, and Practice.
