First Napoleon Dynamite screens and info
About time, ugh!
Fancy dancing to Z-Kwon, throwing the pigskin a quarter mile with Uncle Rico, smashing piñatas with Pedro, hunting Wolverines in Alaska and many such other key moments inspired by cult classic Napoleon Dynamite?
Course you do.
Picking up where the movie left off, Napoleon Dynamite promises an absurdly left-field narrative pinned on a series of mini-games – 20 on DS, 30 on PSP – focusing on key scenes from the film.
So you get to interact with the main characters Napoleon, Pedro, Uncle Rico, Kip and Tina the Llama while indulging in tetherball, dodgeball, bowling, feeding Tina, bike stunts, rhythm action dancing and baking a cake, to name the examples we've seen so far.
You get scored on your performance and should expect sweet rewards in the form of concept art from the film, audio and video clips (PSP only), trinkets and costumes for Napoleon to use throughout the game.
Depending on the handheld in your possession, you get access to different games but the experience has been geared towards the merits of each format, so that on DS stylus input plays a significant role, while PSP owners get two-player head-to-head ad hoc action.
Napoleon Dynamite is expected on October 23rd. (PSP shots are shown above but click here to take a look at their DS cousins.)
