Noteworthy Nintendo 64 emulator N64oid, which was pulled from the Android Market some time ago, will be receiving support for the Xperia Play’s touchpad soon, according to its creator Yongzh.

Posting in a forum discussion about the emulator, Yongzh said that making the touchpads work in the place of an analogue control stick is on the "to do" list for the app, but only following the update of Xperia phones to Ice Cream Sandwich.

"I'll add touchpad support after Android 4.0 is out, because it will be a lot easier," Yonghz wrote in response to a question about the touchpads. "Thanks for understanding!"

Thanks to Mahtan for the tip.
