Nokia announces GDC Mobile keynote speech

But still no sign of N-Gage First Access application

Nokia announces GDC Mobile keynote speech
|

Nokia has announced that executive Anssi Vanjoki will be delivering a keynote address at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) Mobile next month.

The title is 'Play with Anybody Everywhere - Context, the New Paradigm for Game Play'. It'll focus on the company's new N-Gage platform, and specifically on connected gaming.

Gamers may raise an eyebrow at the news, considering the company has yet to launch even the First Access version of the new N-Gage application, which was delayed at short notice just before Christmas.

The last official word from Nokia was a posting on the official N-Gage blog on January 4: "I don't have any news or updates for you on N-Gage First Access this week– and believe me, if I did, I'd post it right away..."

We wonder if Nokia has decided to hold fire on the application until GDC Mobile too, which would mean a release the week starting February 18. Rest assured, if we get any more news, you'll see it here first.
