Nokia has let slip another detail about its mysterious Project White Rock game for N-Gage. Don't get too excited, though, as it's not about the actual gameplay.

Instead, Nokia has announced that chiptune band 8 Bit Weapon (that's the band's Seth Sternberger pictured, incidentally) is going to be doing the soundtrack.

(For those of you who don't wave your glowsticks to old-skool bleepy music, 'chiptune' means music made using vintage game consoles as instruments.)

So, the LA-based band is creating a "custom retro" soundtrack for Project White Rock - the first time it's done this.

"8 Bit Weapon is helping us to welcome you back to the playground of your youth," says Nokia producer Scott Foe. "The sound is pure nostalgia, like the first time you ever rescued a princess."

Want a taster? 8 Bit Weapon's track 2D Died is the soundtrack on Nokia's quizzy ForTheLoveOfGaming.com site, and there's a link enabling you to download it.
