GDC '09: Mystery Mania coming to iPhone

Regular readers of the site will know that we like Mystery Mania on mobile. We like it a lot. In fact, we called it “a thoroughly unique, drop-dead gorgeous point and click puzzler” and slapped a Gold Award on it.

So we’re jolly excited by EA’s GDC announcement that they will be bringing the game to the iPhone.

Mystery Mania is developed by the bright bods at Progressive Media, who are responsible for the the likes of SolaRola, which we also liked a lot. The game’s easy paced, straight forward gameplay and charming art style should sit effortlessly on the iPhone, as will the point ‘n’ click controls.

In fact, during a recent chat with the brains behind Mystery Mania, Scott Humphries of EA Mobile, we discovered that the presence of such touchscreen interfaces on the market informed the design of the game from the very beginning. So you see, it really will be perfectly at home on iPhone.
