Famed interactive fiction writer Andrew Plotkin brings My Secret Hideout to the iPad

One of the central figures in the modern interactive fiction community Andrew Plotkin has brought new title My Secret Hideout to the iPad.

According to its App Store description, My Secret Hideout "is not a game. It is an interactive toy... or rather poem... or artwork..."

The app tasks you with dragging leaves onto the branches of a tree, in order to increase the size of a treehouse and alter its description.

Once you're happy with your treehouse, you can save it and mail it to your buddies for their approval.

It's big, very big

My Secret Hideout has approximately a googol of possible combinations to play about with. (That's 10100 combinations, if you want to be all mathematical about it.)

My Secret Hideout has "no goal, no score, [and] no trophies": you are to "explore it, or play with it, until you find a result you like."
