Tecmo Koei has just released social animal breeding sim My Monster Rancher into the wilds of the iOS ecosystem.

The latest entry in this long-running series puts you in charge of a diverse collection of creatures, which you must feed, nurture, and encourage to procreate.

Your monsters also need to be trained for combat, for you will eventually be sending them into battle against other weird and wonderful beasties.

Care and share

This iOS version of Monster Rancher is powered by free mobile gaming network Mobage, so you can explore other breeders' worlds and interact with their monsters once you've logged into the service.

You can even pick up and share breeding profiles, giving you a better shot at discovering all of the 200+ possible breeds.

You can capture My Monster Rancher on iPhone and iPad from the App Store for free now.
